"When you feel good, you look good". How many times have you heard that saying? There is no doubt that when you feel good you tend to show it, whether is in your smile, your laughter, what you say, what you do.

To clarify, this is not about weight loss because at JOSHSHE, we all about you embracing your curves, looking and feeling good no matter your shape or size.

So here are 5 tips on how to feel good about your body now.

  1. Eat well, drink well: I know it sounds cliché but honestly it makes a huge difference. You can test it out yourself, try eating fast food only for 3 days. How did you feel afterwards mentally and physically? Tired, sluggish, headachy, demotivated? Then for the following 3 days, try eating home-cooked meals consisting of your favourite ingredients including vegetables, proteins, carbs. Did you feel better? Not only do you mentally feel better for making the effort to cook, you also feel more energetic, motivated and so much healthier.
  2. Keep active: If you had a pet dog, will you commit to taking it out for walks and activity every day? Absolutely because you care and it is good for their health and well-being. It's the same for humans, we all need to keep active whether it is taking daily walks to the shops, going to the gym, dancing at home. Basically taking care our ourselves by not laying in bed all day. Keeping active means your body will feel more flexible, you will feel more energetic and generally happier and motivated to achieve other things.
  3. Stand/Walk tall: Have you ever wondered why some people look so confident without uttering a word? This is because they are standing and walking tall. This does not mean that the are physically tall, it means that they have a good posture, their heads are held up high whilst standing and walking so they can maintain good eye contact. So the next time you are walking pay attention to whether you are walking and always looking on the ground or you are walking tall and your head is held high and you can maintain good eye contact. You will so much more confident and feel good about yourself.
  4. Do what makes you happy: Sometimes as life goes on, we tend to do less of the things that make us happy. If you take some out to think about the things that you enjoy or enjoyed doing, commit to doing them, treat yourself and you will feel so much better for it.
  5. Update your wardrobe: Shop for a style that you have never tried before, you may be pleasantly surprised just how beautiful and stylish you look in your new clothing and hopefully that would help boost your self confidence.
